Community of Practice


A community of practice is a group of people who share a common concern for something they do and a commitment to learn how to do it better by interacting and collaborating regularly.

Individually we all have demonstrated an interest and commitment to mathematics instruction and numeracy development for all students, including students with significant disabilities. We also want to share our expertise and learnings with each other and other teachers throughout Alberta.

Online Meetings (2012 - 2013)

Teachers participated in six online webinar/meetings. The meetings and webinars were hosted on Elluminate and facilitated by an Alberta Education manager and consortia facilitator. Each online meeting was a combination of information items, interactive activities and professional conversation.
